One bright day in the middle of
    the night,
Two dead boys got up to fight!
    Back-to-back they faced each other,
Drew their swords, and shot each other!
A deaf policeman heard the noise,
Came and killed those two dead boys!
If you don't believe this lie is true,
Ask the blind man, because he saw it too.

---This anonymous poem was a favorite
of my friends and me, back in second grade (that's the 60's.) In 1991 I finally
set it to music, for children's choir and piano, and it has become a great
hit all over Texas. Don't you think it's about time that your choir
had fun singing "The Two Dead Boys"? Maybe at your upcoming Halloween concert?
